Step-by-Step Guide to Managing Visits and Work Orders on Mobile

1. Review Your Visit List

The first thing you’ll want to do is open the app and review your list of Visits for the day. Each Visit may contain one or more Work Orders that need to be completed.

2. Claim Your Visits

Before you can start working on a Visit, you need to claim it. This ensures that no one else picks up the same Visit and that you can update its status throughout the day.

Important: If you expect to lose cellular service during the day, make sure to claim all your necessary Visits while you still have a connection. You cannot claim or unclaim a Visit without service, but you can complete Work Orders while offline.

3. Start a Visit & Complete Work Orders

Once a Visit is claimed, select it to see the associated Work Orders. From here, you can:

  • View each Work Order’s details.
  • Perform the required tasks.
  • Add any necessary comments.
  • Mark Work Orders as Complete or Not Complete when finished.

Even if you lose cellular service, you can still mark Work Orders as Complete or Not Complete—they will automatically sync when you regain service.

4. Sync Changes & Monitor Pending Updates

At the end of the day (or when back in service), perform a Soft Refresh to ensure that all completed Work Orders sync with the system.

  • If you had pending updates while offline, these will now be sent.
  • Keep an eye on Pending Updates to verify that everything has successfully synced.

5. (Optional) Claim Tomorrow’s Visits

If you want to prepare ahead of time, you can claim Visits for tomorrow. This way, you won’t have to worry about claiming them in the morning or dealing with potential service issues.

By following these steps, you ensure a smooth workflow, avoid connectivity-related issues, and keep your Work Orders and Visits properly updated throughout the day.
